Finding healing, praise God she is alive

omg today was an amazing day words just can not explain how I felt when I heard the story and had the chance to meet lissa alphonse the woman from Boston who got kidnapped when she traveled to mount Sinai-egypt. this month of july 2013 marks the 1st anniversary of this horrible event. One year ago, Haitian American Christians travelling on pilgrimage to Israel where intercepted on a tourist bus at gun point by rebels in Mount Sinai-Egypt. Lissa Alphonse, a young woman, was assaulted, beaten, and kidnapped, as she cried and plead for help, among the Haitian  Clergies that organize the trip, Rev. Michel Louis heroically offered himself to the rebels to go with lissa. subsequently, a Muslim, Arab tour guide offered himself to go as well as an interpreter. The U.S. State Department successfully negotiated the release of lissa alphonse and rev.louis as their families, Haitian community leaders, jubilee church's founder and pastor, bishop Gilbert A. thompson, Mayor Thomas Menino, Gov. Patrick, Senators John kerry and Scott Brown put forth pressure and rigorous advocacy. When the Haitian community faced this crisis, it was the African-American mega church jubilee that was in the forefront as a key leader. praise God she is safe and alive for both of them, she is alive to tell the true story of what took place exactly, tears filled my eyes as she began to tell how she was taking a short nap on the ride as she was awaken by rebels who had snatch her by her hair and beat her in the face as hey told her she is coming with them. This could happen to any of us she had no idea things was going to turn out the way they did on her trip but I tell you this people have stuck together by keeping her in prayers and those that did not even know her personally like myself where there for support and I am so glad we met. we took a picture today that means a lot and I know she is home safe but she is still dealing with so much pain so please continue to pray for her healing. so honored  to be standing next to 2 people who thought they would not be standing here to tell their story today.   thank you xo God is amazing

Jill'z new look color/cut

Omg so I met this great new client today very down to earth  wich makes it so much easier to chat with specially on a first time visit. It kind of  felt like we already met before lol  I just Lov that ! We'll jill came in with like shoulder length hair as u will see in a min down below and she was do for a color as well.. below we actually ended up doing 2 different style cuts so that we can decide if she actually wanted to go shorter witch she did :) see I believe lil is best at first that way u have an option but if u going drastic and u just Dived right to short and then wish u left a lil more length  it would just be no choice left .ok so here is the pic but let me just say I.have the best clients Eva they always support  me and I truly appreciate them sending other great people xo  oh please sign up  on the blog please and freely share :))

One of those soft curl days :)

Ever have those days when you don't want your hair straight so u decide to have a lil soft curl flow . This is Nicole with a soft curl  there is no hair spray at all in her hair and  yes she can still wrap up her hair tonight and it will get straighter but not bone straight, it will fall down the next morning with body a very soft natural flow. But let's say she wanted to keep lots more curls she could always do pin curls (roll hair up with fingers and keep in place using a Barbie pin ) next morning remove and look fabulous:)

Natural hair ( no relaxer )blow out and color

Fraseca has natural hair (no relaxer) and today she came in for a blow dry and highlights ,treatment,cut  Lets just say the works lol  what ever it took to leave her hair in a healthy state . Here is her summer color

Lana took several inches off

So I Did a huge cut on Lana's  hair and brightin up her hair color . I dont know whats going on this week it has just been major cutting and phunky ideas but I am not complaing I Lov it . So here is lana with her new cut and color doesn't look so much healthier xoxo

So today I got to be a lil creative with my mohawk . I never Did a braid like this so it was my first attemp and it won't be my last lol every time i do it I am sure I will phunk it out a lil different :) here is jas

Liz gone short

Hey so today was am awsome day .I had lots of people come in for trims and treatments witch is very important to keep the hair mousturize in this heat cuz the sun as we know is Beautiful but cause so much damage anyhow my client light up of the day is Elizabeth she is one funny grl and to know her is to Lov her lol well she came in today and just when I thought she was going to get the Basic she ask to chop off all her hair ,the look on my face was like r u sure but why should I  be surprise liz will go and try anything that looks good on her she trully stands behind my saying  ( DARE 2B U ) so here is liz with her new color, new cut, her Look :) and I am sure there will be more to come

zumba lover why? simply cuz it works

hey hey everyone I can't even tell you how great I am feeling right now I just walk through the door and jumped on my computer because I so wanted to share this asap before I jump in my shower and zumba some more lol . well I did ZUMBA today as I just mention lol yeaaa. No I did not teach the class today, I actually attended a friends class of mine , her name is jasmine ortize :))) man let me just tell you she rocked that floor tonight and as many of you know I am one lil mama with lots of energy and I sure have my match with jasmine, she will give you the results your looking for , but it's about how bad u want it. Zumba is one of the best workouts and that's why I decided to become a zumba instructor and the best part about it is you have so much fun doing it you don't even realize an hour has gone buy oh and the amount of calories you burn (weeeeeeeeeeepa)_  lol . I even brought someone to class today that has never been to a zumba class before, thank you so much dina for giving it a try I am so happy to have introduce something new to you today and best of all she LOVzzzzzzz it : ) Now off to hit the shower please pray I don't hit the floor as I zumba in the shower lol oh and please never ever ever ever try this at home hehe  here a few pic today at phunk studio lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv phunk (hip hop for hope) xoxo oh and let me just add this before I post us lil people lol well many people ask me why I do zumba because I don't need to seeing that I am so small , well its doesn't matter your size its about getting fit and remaining fit and we want to help you , so if your a small size and don't want to loose weight you still can zumba because zumba will give you that nice tone figure and of course like with any workout you must continue to eat right. we all step into zumba with different goals but in the end we all want the same thing and that's to be healthy and results :))) legooooooooooo cuz it's so much better when we zumba together lol ok I just gave away I have kids.

I trully had a great day these 2 client of mines are some sweet kids and I just enjoy my time with them always . They are sister that look like twins lol just incase u thought u seen one grl . Today the grls receive a nice smooth blow out and a  relaxer. To protect the hair through this process I make sure it was properly treated and used heat protectant  during the blow out.

Bed head rocked as an all day hair style:)

Hey all, let me just say that my hair was sooo dry yesterday so I was like oh no , I mean I literally felt like chopping it off again lol but ladies the Sun and heat can really do ur hair some damage so u have to keep up on  treatments. If u feel your hair feel dry and brittle before u decide to chop it off  well at a salon I hope lol try getting a nice oil treatment or moisturizing cream treatment . I did not even wash my hair cuz I did not feel my hair was dirt just dry  so I wet it down and then applied my natural oil treatment and massage it in .boy did it feel and smell soo good . I then sat in the dryer for 15 mins and then I actually  did not rinse it out I just squeeze the excess water from my hair and twist my hair up in a  few bunz cuz I knew that the oil was going to lock in the moisture and that it was ok to have a heavier amont of oil in my hair because i planned on wetting it down  the next day and the oil would help it from being dry and frizzy,but anyhow I woke up with this bed head look and loved it so I decided to rock my bed head all day and guess what I used no serums , no gel nothing it was just fluffy, shiny and soft and I felt ok with it today lol not sure about tomorrow cuz I may not be in a fluffy mood. If u feeling Brittle headed be sure to ask about my oil treatment ur next visit . Take care of your ends by apply a dab of organic coconut oil to it every night before tying it up for bed .:)
